Who Writes Our Guides

Guides are written and updated under the Tubidy name by the team that runs the service. The author page lists every published guide and explains how we test them. The service itself is described on the About page.

How We Test Guides

  • Every step in a guide is followed on the live site before the guide is published or updated.
  • Screenshots come from the live site, not from mock-ups, and captions describe what the screenshot shows.
  • Steps are checked at phone and desktop screen sizes. Where a step depends on the phone or browser, the guide says so.
  • Features we could not check are left out rather than described from memory or from other websites.

Sources and Review

Information about how Tubidy works comes from the site itself: the search results, song pages and format tables. General information about phones and browsers, such as where Android or Safari saves downloads, is described in conditional terms, because settings differ between devices.

File sizes are given as general estimates, because the real size depends on the song and the format.

Guides about copyright and safety give general information, not legal advice. They name the laws they refer to, such as South Africa's Copyright Act, and point to the copyright page for removal requests.

Updates and Corrections

Each guide shows the date it was first published and the date it was last updated. The updated date only changes when the content changes, for example when the site changes or a step is corrected.

If you find an error, tell us through the Contact page with the page address and what is wrong. Confirmed corrections are made in the guide and the updated date changes with them.

Commercial Disclosures

Tubidy is supported by advertising. Adverts are served by third parties and are separate from guide content. Guides explain how to tell the site's own Download button apart from buttons inside adverts.

Links to other services in guides, such as AI tools for summaries or social networks for sharing, open only when you choose them.
