MP4 Video Size and Data Use
A music video carries the picture as well as the sound, so an MP4 video file is usually much larger than the MP3 of the same song, and longer videos are larger still. On mobile data, save videos for Wi-Fi and check your free storage first.
How to Download an MP4
- Search for the artist and song title in the search box.
- Open the right result. Compare titles and durations: a live session or mix is much longer than the single.
- Tap Download under the song title and wait for the format table.
- Tap Download next to MP4 video. Your browser saves the file to Downloads (Android and computers) or to the Files app (iPhone).
The download guide shows each step with screenshots, and the mobile guide explains where phones save files.
MP4 Download Problems
| Problem | What to do |
|---|---|
| The video stops downloading on mobile data | Check your data balance and free storage, then try again on Wi-Fi. |
| A new tab opens with another website | Close it and go back to the song page. Use the Download button under the song title. |
| The file plays sound but no picture | You may have chosen MP4 audio. Download MP4 video instead. |
| I can't find the saved video | Open your browser's download list, then Downloads (Android) or the Files app (iPhone). |

MP4 Questions
Can I choose HD or 1080p on Tubidy?
In our checks, MP4 video came in one quality and the format table did not offer a resolution menu.
What is the difference between MP4 video and MP4 audio?
MP4 video has the picture and the sound. MP4 audio is sound only in an MP4 file, so it is smaller. For music only, MP3 audio plays in almost every player.
How much data does an MP4 music video use?
It depends on the length and the video: the longer the video, the bigger the file. Use Wi-Fi if your data bundle is small.
