Tubidy

Tubidy has run a free music and video search service since 2009 and is based in Rosebank, Johannesburg. The guides are written and updated under the Tubidy name by the team that runs the service, so they describe the same search box, song pages and format tables you use on Tubidy.

The company was founded by Thabo Khumalo, its CEO. More about the service and how it works is on the About page.

Topics the guides cover

• Searching for songs and music videos and choosing MP3 audio, MP4 audio or MP4 video
• Downloading on Android, iPhone and computers, and finding saved files
• Fixing search, download and playback problems
• Safe downloading, adverts and browser notifications
• Copyright, permissions and content removal requests

Every guide follows the same process, set out in full in our editorial policy:

• Each step is followed on the live site before a guide is published or updated.
• Screenshots come from the live site.
• Steps are checked at phone and desktop screen sizes; where a step depends on the device or browser, the guide says so.
• Features we could not check are left out.
• Each guide shows when it was first published and when it was last updated.

If you find an error in a guide, send the page address and what is wrong through the Contact page or to [email protected]. Confirmed corrections are made in the guide and its updated date changes with them.
