Copyright and Content Removal Requests

How rights holders can ask for content to be removed from Tubidy search results.

Last updated 2 min read

Please refer to our Disclaimer for a complete overview of our third-party content policies. If you believe there is a problem with a specific video and wish to have it removed, we strongly recommend also reporting the issue directly to the platform that hosts it, such as YouTube. We do not host any content on our own servers; search results point to media served by third-party platforms.

Any content you download through our platform should be used strictly for personal backup and review purposes. We highly encourage users to support their favorite artists by purchasing music from official stores or subscribing to licensed services like Apple Music, Spotify, or YouTube Music. Tubidy is committed to respecting the intellectual property rights of all creators and artists.

As a music and entertainment search engine, we are fully aware of copyright regulations and intellectual property laws. While Tubidy strives to ensure that indexed content originates from legitimate sources, we do not have the ability to control all information hosted on third-party web pages. However, any reported copyright violation will be removed from our search results by our moderators in a very short time.

How to Request Content Removal

We respect your concerns and provide a straightforward process for content removal. If you want your videos or songs to be excluded from our search listings, send us a detailed message through the Contact page or by email to the address below.

A valid notice should include:

  • Your full name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
  • The copyrighted work or right you believe has been infringed.
  • The specific links to the pages on our website that you want removed.
  • The action you would like us to take.
  • A statement that you are acting in good faith, and that the information in your notice is true and correct.
  • Your written or electronic signature.

In South Africa, these requirements follow the take-down notice procedure in section 77 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002.

Fast-Track DMCA Processing

For faster processing of your request, you may send a direct email to our legal team at [email protected]. Upon receiving a valid request, we will remove the infringing search results from our index as soon as possible, typically within 24 to 48 hours.

Every report is handled in accordance with our Terms of Use and applicable intellectual property law.
